Contact us about our "Culinary Boot Camp" program. It is a hands-on series of five
classes (once a month) where you learn skills necessary to create your own dishes vs.
following someone else's recipes. We take you through knife skills, stocks, sauces, meat
preparation, soups, vegetables and outdoor cooking including both grilling and Bar-B-Que
techniques and styles.

Chef David limits the class size to five students. This means you get not only useful, but
personal attention in helping you develop your culinary skills.
All ingredients for the course are provided. All you need is a desire to learn and have fun
along with a chef's knife, boning knife, paring knife and an apron. Class notes are
provided in order to maximize your time cooking versus lecture and note-taking. We start
at 8:30 am and wrap up between 4:30 and 5:00 pm depending on the class. At the
conclusion of the series, students will gain access to the private Culinary Boot Camp
Resources web site (at no charge) containing all the dishes prepared in class available at
their finger tips.
There is NO drill-sergeant mentality. We create fun opportunities for success in every
class. Homework, outlines, notes and more are provided. Contact us to enroll in our next
series which begins Saturday, February 25th, 2012. See our Facebook page, call for
more information or send an email to info@thymefor a chef.com. Ten-Hut Private!

I finished the Culinary Bootcamp last
month and I have to say, what a great
thyme! The bootcamp filled in some big
gaps in my "cooking knowledge" and
has really made me appreciate the
science of cooking. Don't let the word
"science" scare you away; it's far from a
dry lecture on chemistry. Chef David is
very skilled at giving practical, hands on
guidance throughout all phases of the
class. He encouraged us to jump in
there, take culinary risks and expand
our palates!
I use the techniques and knowledge
everyday in my cooking and now my
daughter is getting into the act. It truly is
a gift of love to share good food with
friends and family. Chef David has given
us a gift that will keep on giving. Bravo!
Enjoying the Culinary Boot Camp very
much! I am learning so much! Chef
David is great about going over the
basics, but is able to keep things
interesting for the more experienced
students in our intimate group. Chef
David and his wife have a great
understanding of the Gluten Free
lifestyle and are great about teaching
us that going gluten free can be a
culinary delight.
I am looking forward to the next class! I
am recommending him to all my friends.
